multiboxi features

multiboxi is in testing. Below is the full list: what works in the test version, what we are building next and what we plan later.

Ready in the test version

  • Adding mailboxes over IMAP and SMTP: ready-made settings for Gmail, Onet, WP and DreamHost, others by hand
  • Connection check when you add a mailbox
  • A list of all your mailboxes with the unread count in each Inbox
  • Every mailbox’s folders: Inbox, Sent, Drafts, Trash, Spam, Archive and your own
  • Reading messages and downloading attachments
  • Images from the web blocked until you choose to show them
  • Marking as read and unread, stars
  • Your own name, colour and order for each mailbox
  • Mandatory two-factor authentication, backup codes, list of signed-in devices
  • Polish, English and Ukrainian; works well on phones too

In progress

  • Writing and replying automatically from the address the message was sent to
  • Drafts saved with your provider, moving between folders, Trash and Spam
  • New mail without reloading the page (every 15 minutes in the Start plan)
  • Search in one mailbox and in all of them
  • A shared Inbox for all mailboxes

In this order. Each feature reaches users after testing.

Later

  • Fast full-text search and a copy of messages with attachments, for the mailboxes where you turn it on (in the Pro plan)
  • Connecting Google and Microsoft mailboxes with account authorisation (OAuth), without an app password. This will also let you add Outlook.com and Hotmail

How multiboxi connects to your mailboxes

multiboxi uses the same protocols as mail programs: IMAP for reading and organising mail and SMTP for sending. That is why it works with Gmail, Onet, WP, Interia and most mailboxes on company domains.

Your messages stay on your providers’ servers. multiboxi fetches lists and content when you need them, so changes made on your phone or in another program show up when you refresh.

Outlook.com, Hotmail and Microsoft 365 require Microsoft account authorisation (OAuth). We will add them together with the same authorisation for Google.
